Serious assaults and vandalism are down in Lanarkshire, while there has also been a reduction in incidents involving people carrying offensive weapons.
The number of serious assaults reduced from 130 to 91 compared to the same time period last year (April to June).
There are also 72 less vandalisms, according to Police Scotland’s latest Quarter 1 Performance Report.
While fraud incidents are down slightly in Lanarkshire (-0.5 per cent), the national picture across Scotland shows a continued rise in frauds with an online element.
This highlights that policing online is "becoming a bigger challenge for frontline policing than ever before".
Chief Superintendent Stevie Dolan, divisional commander for Lanarkshire, told Lanarkshire Live : “Our communities told us a priority for their area is to reduce violence and disorder, and the latest figures show we are listening and taking action.
“Another priority for Lanarkshire is tackling the harm caused by drug misuse and while this is a complex issue, our detection rate for drug crimes has risen to 96.2 per cent.
“We continually gather data on public confidence through our Your Police survey to enable the public to highlight areas of local concern, good practice and inform our approach to working with local partners.
"I would encourage people to influence local policing by completing the survey.”
There has also been a reduction of casualties on Lanarkshire roads.
The total number has reduced from 139 to 75 compared to the same time period last year, which includes fatal, serious and slight injuries.
The Your Police survey can be found here and it takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
