Police are renewing an appeal for information after the disappearance of a man from Dubbo earlier this year.

David Campbell, 42, was last seen about 8pm on Monday, March 14 at a home in Bunglegumbie Road, Dubbo.

His family reported him missing to police after being unable to contact him.

Mr Campbell's sister Michelle Moore said it had been a traumatic 17 weeks.

"I have joined so many community groups on social media, just sharing posts, hoping that somebody's seen something," she said.

"He didn't take his car, he didn't take his bank card, there's been no activity on his phone and we don't know if he's got money — we don't know anything"

Mr Campbell is known to frequent Nyngan, Orange, the Central Coast, and Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.

"The family are human beings and they have questions that they need answered," Superintendent Danny Sullivan said.

Ms Moore said she could not understand why the family had not heard from her brother, who regularly stayed in touch.

"I could ring him at midnight and bawl my eyes out for an hour and he would just listen," she said.

Mr Campbell is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 182 centimetres tall and of large build.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding Mr Campbell's whereabouts to contact Dubbo Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
