Police renew appeal for missing Blantyre man after potential sighting in Hamilton

Police are continuing to appeal for help to find a missing Blantyre man who they are growing "increasingly concerned" about.

Officers are trying to establish the movements of 50-year-old James Lindsay, who has not been in contact with friends since 5pm yesterday, Tuesday, August 2.

It’s now thought he may have been in the Hamilton town centre area near the bus and train stations.

James is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Inspector Sacha Solman, of Hamilton Police Office, said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of James and we would ask that if anyone may have seen him or knows his current whereabouts to please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2827 of Tuesday, August 2, 2022.”
