Police have released the image of the Walmart manager who shot and killed six people.
Andre Bing, 31, was named as the shooter and manager of the store in Chesapeake, Virginia, where the horrific massacre occurred.
Chesapeake Police raced to the store at 10.12pm local time to reports of an active shooter inside.
They entered the store four minutes later where they found several injured and deceased individuals.
Three people were found dead in the breakroom of the store and a further three died in hospital.
Bing was found dead by police from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He was found with one handgun and several magazines.
Ex-overnight stocker at the store, James Credle, told the Mirror the killer introduced him to the Yellow Edition of Red Bull and they would drink it together on shift.
The 19-year-old described Bing as a "major germaphobe" who was almost "always stressed and p***** off" while he worked there for a few months last year.
"He wrote me up two days in a row and I quit a week later because of him, actually," he said.
"Nobody really liked him because he could be an a******. He always got me in trouble for little stuff like leaving a pallet in the wrong spot or something stupid and it was all the time."
At the time of the shooting, it is thought at least 50 people were in the store.
A Walmart spokesperson said told The Mirror: "While details of the tragic incident in our Chesapeake, Virginia store are still emerging, authorities have confirmed multiple fatalities. We are focused on doing everything we can to support our associates and their families at this time.
"The alleged shooter has been identified as Andre Bing. We can confirm that he was a Walmart associate.
"Andre’s position with the company was overnight team lead and he’s been employed with us since 2010. We are thankful for the local first responders and will continue to work with local law enforcement as they continue their investigation.”
Police are urging anyone who may have been in the store and fled before arriving to contact them.
The Chesapeake SWAT team searched Mr Bing's house and investigators are actively working to learn more about the suspect's background and what may have motivated the shooting.
It is the second mass shooting at a Walmart in the last three years, after a gunman killed at least 22 people in El Paso, Texas in 2019.
