Police have released a CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with an attack near a Scots beach.
Cops are probing an assault on Portobello Promenade in Edinburgh at around 2.15pm on Friday, March 17.
Officers are trying to locate the man in the picture as they believe he may have information that can assist their enquiries into the incident.
The man is believed to between 30 and 37 years of age, of medium build with brown hair. He is between 5ft 11ins to 6ft 2ins.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey Nike hoodie, dark coloured jogging bottoms and white Adidas trainers. Anyone with information is being urged to get in touch with Police Scotland.
Constable Erin Millar said: “The man pictured or anyone who recognises the man pictured please contact officers via 101, quoting incident number 1687 of Friday, March 17.
"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
