Police and Trading Standards have raided a shop famous for flogging KSI and Logan Paul’s Prime drink for £100.
Mohammad Azir Nazir and Wakey Wines became a social media sensation thanks to videos showing him massively up-charging customers for the sought after viral drink.
In the aftermath of the raid, on Friday, 3 March, reportedly at 3.15pm, on the shop in Marygate, Wakefield, the owner Mr Nazir took to TikTok to claim officers had come to his shop “looking for Class A drugs”. He added “nothing illegal had been found”.
But West Yorkshire Police wouldn’t confirm the nature of the operation conducted by Wakefield Police but did say that West Yorkshire Trading Standards were in attendance as well and that they were continuing their investigation.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Wakefield Police and West Yorkshire Trading Standards attended at a premises on Marygate, Wakefield, on Friday, March 3 to execute a warrant. Enquiries remain ongoing by West Yorkshire Trading Standards."
In his TikTok following the raid, amid a series of wild claims, Mr Nazir criticised his so-called “haters” and said he had “nothing to hide” before he thanked the police for doing their job.
He said: "I'm still here, you won't get rid of me, mate."
Mr Nazir admitted to having done jail time for drug dealing but said he had left that life behind.
In his video, a cheery Mr Nazir added: “Quarter past three today we got raided by West Yorkshire Police, guess what for, Class A drugs. But I’m a changed man.”
He was previously banned from TikTok after a video of a woman paying £1,200 for Prime went viral.
West Yorkshire Trading Standards have been approached for comment.
