A man has been arrested after what appeared to be a minor car stop resulted in a massive cocaine haul.
Greater Manchester Police transport officers stopped a BMW travelling on Ashton Old Road, initially due to its windows being illegally tinted. However, a search of the vehicle discovered 55 snap bags of white powder and a 'brick' of cocaine worth more than £15,000.
Police say the driver has been arrested and remanded in court for a later date. They were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, money laundering, having no insurance, and illegally tinted windows.

A GMP Newton Heath, Clayton, and Openshaw spokesperson posted: "Stopped a BMW on Ashton Old Road. Driver in possession of 55 snap bags & a large brick of cocaine worth around £15,000.
"Interviewed, remanded to court; charged with PWITS class A, money launder, no insurance and (why first stopped), illegal tint windows!"
