An appeal for witnesses to an incident involving PSNI officers and three members of the public has been issued by the Police Ombudsman’s Office.
The incident happened close to the junction of Rydalmere Street and the Donegall Road in Belfast on Saturday August, 6 2022 at approximately 7:40pm. A Police Ombudsman spokesperson said the members of the public were detained by up to 10 police officers.
"We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen three members of the public being detained by approximately eight to 10 police officers," their statement read.

"A number of police vehicles and one police van was parked at the junction of Rydalmere Street and Donegal Road at the time. We would be keen to speak with anyone who saw what happened or recorded footage of the incident on their mobile phone.
