Renfrewshire police officers were at Braehead shopping centre on Wednesday in support of Keep Safe Awareness Day.
Officers from Safer Communities within the division spent the day at the Renfrew shopping complex as part of the campaign to raise awareness of disability hate crimes.
Officers spoke with members of the public about the Keep Safe initiative, which is the first of its kind in Scotland.
It aims to support and encourage disabled, vulnerable and elderly people to keep safe and enjoy ordinary day-to-day life and activities without fear of abuse, intimidation and harassment.

Officers were on hand throughout the awareness event to give advice and leaflets on the initiative, which was set up by Paisley-based charity I Am Me Scotland in partnership with Police Scotland.
The initiative has received wide support and has continued to evolve to become a national network with over 800 Keep Safe places throughout Scotland. The initiative is available for anyone to use if they feel lost, scared, vulnerable or simply need some breathing space.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “It was a great day raising awareness of the Keep Safe Initiative and also providing crime prevention advice.”
