Police have today named a man charged with firearms and drug offences.
Joseph Bassey, of Hale Gate Road in Widnes, was charged with possession of criminal property, assault and possession of a firearm. The 38-year-old has also been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine and MDMA) and two counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition in a public place.
Cheshire Police said the charges relate to an arrest made on Saturday, May 27, following reports of a domestic incident on Hale Gate Road, Widnes.

Bassey appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday, May 29, where he was remanded in custody. He is next set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, June 26.
