Metropolitan Police have named a man who was allegedly stabbed to death during a fight outside his house in Harrow and charged another man with his murder.
Conor McCarthy, 38, of no fixed abode, has been charged with killing Peter Littlefair, 57, outside his home on Chester Drive, a short walk from North Harrow Tube Station.
Police were called to reports of a fight outside the property just after 2am on Thursday. Officers and the London Ambulance Service responded and Littlefair was treated by paramedics.
Tragically, he died at the scene.
His next of kin are being supported by specialist staff, the Met said on Friday.
McCarthy was arrested at the scene and charged on Friday.
He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates Court on March 18.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are investigating.
