Police in Northern Ireland have left people in fits of laughter after pulling over a driver whose bumper sticker ended up being ‘hilariously ironic’ as the car was seized and the owner fined.
PSNI officers were out on patrol in the Glemgormley area when they stopped a vehicle travelling on the Carmoney Road on Monday evening.
The driver was asked to produce proof of insurance, but after ‘frantically’ searching their phone for documentation they admitted they did not have any.

The car was seized on the spot and the driver was issued with a fixed penalty notice for the law break.
Moments later, officers snapped a picture of a bumper stick on the back of the car being seized which read: “My brakes are good!! Is your insurance?”
A spokesperson from the PSNI then jokingly wrote: “The brakes on this charming little Mini may be good it's just a shame their insurance isn't!”
The post confirming the seizure went on to say: “Glengormley Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped this vehicle on Carnmoney Road this evening.
“After a few minutes of the driver frantically searching through their emails for policy documents, they admitted they had no insurance in place.
“The vehicle has been seized and the driver was issued with a fixed penalty notice”.
People rushed to the comments in laughter at the bumper sticker, in what ended up being a very unfortunate outcome for the motorist.
One person wrote: “Oh the irony,” while another added: “All nice driving a lovely car but we could all do that if we didn't pay tax and insurance!!”
A third person wrote: “No!! Hahaha that is so ironic. Bless”.
