Two more teenagers have been charged over a brawl in Melbourne's west that ended with the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Pasawm Lyhym last month.

An 18-year-old Burnside Heights boy and a 17-year-old Caroline Springs boy were arrested yesterday by police investigating the stabbing incident.

The 18-year-old has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, conduct endangering serious injury, affray and possessing a prohibited weapon.

The 17-year-old has been charged with conduct endangering serious injury, affray and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Both have faced court and been bailed to appear again at a later date.

A 17-year-old Hillside boy was last week charged with murder over the stabbing death of Pasawm at Sunshine Place on May 18.

Police said the incident involved groups from different schools, and raised concerns about retaliatory violence in its wake.

Lawyers for the Hillside teenager said the boy's mother had received "credible threats" that had forced her to move out of her home in the wake of Pasawm's death.

The boy was not required to enter a plea during the hearing, and his legal team made no application for bail.

He was remanded in custody and will next face court on October 5.
