Police are treating a blaze in a block of flats in Glasgow as a deliberate act.
Fire crews and police raced to the flats at Keal Crescent and Great Western Road after they were alerted to reports of a fire at 1.30am this morning. Fire appliances tackled the blaze on the 13th floor but police say nobody was in the flat at the time and no other flats were evacuated.
However, cops confirmed that they have now started an investigation into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said they are treating the incident as wilfil fireraising.
They said: "Around 1.35 am on Sunday, 18 September, 2022, police attended a report of a fire on the 13th floor of a block of flats on Keal Crescent / Great Western Road, Knightswood, Glasgow.
"No one was in the flat at the time of the fire and no other flats required to be evacuated.
"Officers are treating the fire as wilful and enquiries are continuing."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue has been approached for comment.
