Police officers investigating a suspected serious assault in Walker are appealing to the public for information.
An investigation has been launched following a report from paramedics shortly after 1.30pm today (Saturday).
It was reported that a 36-year-old man had been found with a serious injury to his head at an address on Jubilee Terrace. He was taken to hospital where he currently remains in a critical condition.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Now, as part of their enquiries, officers are appealing to the public for information.
Detective Chief Inspector Angela Hudson, of Northumbria Police, said: “This has been a very serious incident which has left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
"I’m urging anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area around that time or who has any information that may help with our investigation, to get in touch.”
