Police have launched an investigation after a fire broke out in Bolton town centre. Firefighters were called to the blaze on Deansgate at about 1am on Monday.
A spokesperson said they 'worked to salvage the shop from flooding caused by the sprinkler system'. There are no reported injuries.
On Monday morning a police cordon was in place around the Heavenly Desserts restaurant. The doors to the cafe had been smashed. Forensics officers were also seen at the scene.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "Just after 1am this morning (Monday), five fire engines from Bolton central, Bolton North, Farnworth and Bury fire station were called to reports of a building fire involving a shop on Deansgate, Bolton.
"The crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters worked to salvage the shop from flooding caused by the sprinkler system. Firefighters have been in attendance for around 10 hours and are still at the scene."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At approximately 1.20am on Monday Greater Manchester Police attended a property on Deansgate, Bolton that had caught fire. Colleagues at GMFRS also attended.
"Thankfully, no one was injured. A scene remains in place, with no disruption to the wider area, and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances.
"No arrests have been made at this time."
