Police launch frantic search for pensioner missing from home for nearly two days

Police have launched a frantic search for a man who has been missing from his home for nearly 48 hours.

Thomas Marshall was last seen on Monday at Airdrie train station around 4pm where he boarded a train bound for Edinburgh. He hasn't been seen since.

The 67-year-old has no mobile phone with him and his family is becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. He usually uses two crutches to help him walk.

Thomas is described as white, 5ft 10, of medium build, is bald and was wearing a grey hat, a pink jumper, a black body warmer and grey Fila trainers. He is known to use the assistance of two crutches.

Sergeant Stewart McDonald, Airdrie Police Station, said "Thomas uses public transport extensively so could have travelled anywhere in the country. He has no mobile phone with him and his family are concerned about him.

“If you have any information as to his whereabouts, then please call Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference number 3905 of Monday, 11 July, 2022.”
