Police say they are "extremely concerned" for the safety of a man who disappeared from his home on Tuesday afternoon.
Mark Borthwick was last seen on the Braedale Avenue area of Airdrie around 1.45pm. The 48-year-old is described as white, 5ft 11ins in height and of medium to heavy build with dark-coloured hair that is balding.
When he was last seen he was wearing a mustard-coloured jacket, black tracksuit trousers with white stripes, and white trainers.
Inspector Lyndsey McFarlane said: “We are extremely concerned for Mark’s safety and wellbeing and we are carrying out searches and enquiries to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.
“He is known to frequent the Brownsburn area of Airdrie.
“I would urge anyone who has seen him, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact 101 with reference number 2218 of 8 November.”
