Police launch appeal to trace boy, 12, missing from Paisley

Police have launched an appeal to trace a schoolboy who has been missing in Paisley since last night.

Stuart Anderson, 12, was last seen within ASDA at the Phoenix Retail Park in Linwood Road, Paisley around 9.30pm, last night (Friday).

He is white, around 5ft 8in in height, with a slim build and short brown hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a black hooded rain jacket and dark, grey coloured jogging trousers and black trainers.

Officers are in the process of checking CCTV footage for any additional information it could provide on Stuart's whereabouts.

Sergeant Stephen Knox said: "Stuart's family is understandably worried and given his age, our concern is also growing.

"I am appealing to anyone who has seen Stuart or who has any information as to his whereabouts to contact us. Everyone just wants to know he is safe and well."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1714 of 25 February, 2022.
