Tayside Police has confirmed that a 13-year-old schoolgirl reported missing from her home in Perth has been traced.
The force said in a statement published over the weekend that Hayleigh Kent was last seen in Perth city centre at around quarter past 10 on Saturday morning (February 26) near Kinnoull Causeway.
When she was last spotted she was said to be wearing a grey hooded top, a navy jacket and white Nike trainers. She was also believed to be carrying three bags.
Police Scotland said in their statement: “Extensive enquiries are under way, however, attempts to locate her have so far proved unsuccessful.
“Officers are seeking to view any relevant CCTV footage which may provide additional information on where Hayleigh may have gone.
“She regularly visits Dundee, Fife and Edinburgh and enquiries are ongoing in those locations.
“If anyone has seen Hayleigh or has any information on her whereabouts, please contact us.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2280 of February 26, 2022.”
However, Tayside Police confirmed on Monday evening that she had been traced.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Hayleigh Kent (13) who had been reported missing from Perth has been traced safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who shared or helped with our earlier appeal."
