Police launch appeal for missing 12-year-old girl last seen in Newport

Gwent Police are seeking the public's help to find a missing schoolgirl. The 12-year-old girl from Cardiff,Tegan Rees, was last spotted at 6:10pm yesterday evening (8 December).

Police described her as "slim, about 5 ft 1" tall, with long brown hair and brown eyes. They add that she was last seen wearing black leggings, a black jacket and Nike Air Force trainers, with her hair in a ponytail.

In the early hours of this morning (December 9) police shared the misisng persons appeal on their social media pages in a bid to help trace her.

Officers have urged anyone with information of Tegan's whereabouts to contact police on 101, quoting 2200412727 or by direct messaging Gwent Police on Twitter.
