Emergency services were called to a fire at a Lanarkshire retail park in the early hours of this morning, Monday, April 25.
Police are appealing for information on the wilful fireraising incident at the shopping facility at Gartlea Road in Airdrie.
Reports of a fire set at the side and rear of the retail park’s branch of B&M were received at around 1.55am.
The fire was extinguished and police enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Steven Halliday of Coatbridge police station said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the area and we are viewing CCTV images to gather more information on whoever is responsible for setting this fire.
“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area early on Monday morning, or have any information that may assist our investigation, please contact officers through 101, quoting reference 0202 of April 25.
“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
