Police have given an update on a woman who had to be removed from her car before being rushed to hospital in a rush hour crash.
Merseyside Police received a call at 3.45pm on Tuesday, November 8, following reports of a crash on Moor Lane, at the junction of Scaffold Lane. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a black Vauxhall Corsa and a White Polo were involved in the crash.
Pictures from the scene showed the Vauxhall Corsa facing the wrong way on Moor Lane with major damage to the front of the car and the White Polo with visible damage to the passenger side.

Police requested help from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters had to remove one woman from her car and she was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Polo remained at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation. Road closures were put in place after the crash, causing traffic chaos during rush hour.
Traffic was queuing for miles down Moor Lane, Broom's Cross Road, Lady Green Lane and Orrell Hill Lane. One road user said he had "moved about half a mile in 40 minutes".
Merseyside Police have now issued an update on the woman, who remains in hospital in a stable condition. Her injuries are described as not life-threatening.
Officers are still investigating the crash, and anyone with information is urged to contact police via Matrix Roads Policing Unit on (0151) 777 5747, email SCIU@merseyside.police.uk.
