Police have provided an update on the man who was assaulted while cycling down a Valleys road on Sunday, October 10. An air ambulance was called after the 47-year-old was approached by two men and assaulted.
The incident occurred on the road to Rhiwsaeson near the main road to Beddau at around 3.55pm. The two men are described as being in their 20s, wearing dark clothing and hats, and riding bikes.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police has now given the following update on the condition of the man who was attacked: "The man’s injuries are not deemed as life threatening or changing."
Footage of the scene showed an air ambulance landing nearby on Sunday, along with a heavy emergency service presence.
