Police have issued an update after a teenager was shot in a Liverpool park.
Officers were called to Wavertree Botanic Gardens at 6.30pm on Friday, May 19. A teenage boy had been shot and was found in a bush in the park.
It was reported that several gun shots were heard before a group of youths fled from the area. The teenage boy ran to an address on Parton Street and was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. He remains there in a stable condition.

Crime scene investigators are continuing their enquiries in the local area and officers will also be looking at CCTV in a bid to identify anyone who is responsible. Officers have also stepped up high-visibility patrols in the area.
One woman, who was in the park at the time of the shooting, told the ECHO: “I was just having a BBQ in the park and I heard this shot being fired, or a firework, I'm not sure what it was. It must have been about four or five shots, I thought it was leftover fireworks.
"Next thing I know police cars are pulling into the car park left and right and armed police turn up. I was with my young son and partner, the park was busy when the noise went off."
Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Caff Cummings, said: "We fully understand the fears and tragedies gun crime has caused in our communities in the last year therefore I would appeal to anyone with dashcam footage driving in the area of Wavertree Park, Botanic Road, including Edge Lane and Innovation Boulevard at around 6.30pm yesterday to please contact police as they may have material to support our investigation.
"To fire a gun in a public place is reckless and callous and officers are working to remove such individuals from our streets and put them behind bars.
“Our investigation is still in the very early stages and will rely heavily on information we receive from the public. I urge any residents who live in the surrounding area and has any doorbell or CCTV footage from yesterday evening to please check their systems. If you saw what happened or have any information which could help us, please get in touch so we can bring those responsible to justice.”
