An 85-year-old man has been reported missing from St James's Hospital in Leeds, police say.
John Steward, who vanished at 1.20pm on Wednesday (September 21), is described as being 1.75m tall and of medium build. He has white hair and was last seen wearing black glasses, a white & black shirt, and a dark brown coat.
West Yorkshire Police said that Mr Steward frequents the Farsley and Pudsey areas. In a missing person appeal on Twitter, the force noted that the pensioner suffers from dementia and is "partially deaf and blind".
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 101 with reference 852.
In a tweet sent at 11:54pm on Wednesday, West Yorkshire Police wrote:
"John Steward 85 y/o. 1.75m tall, medium build, white hair, black glasses dark brown coat, white & black shirt. Missing since 1320hrs 21/09. Inpatient at St James Hospital, Leeds. Frequents Farsley & Pudsey areas. Suffers with dementia partially deaf & blind. Call 101 log 852."
