Police have issued a fresh appeal after a man was stabbed in a street. The incident happened at around 4.10pm on Monday, April 17, in Cobden Street in Aberdare.
A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Armed police remained in the area in the hours that followed the incident as a precaution to ensure safety of officers and the public.
South Wales Police is continuing to appeal for information while enquiries are ongoing. Detective Inspector Matt Hicks said: “South Wales Police is investigating an incident in Aberdare, which has resulted in a man being stabbed.
“"Police were called to Cobden Street at 4.10pm on Monday, April 17. A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
"A number of cordons are in place in the area while investigations continue. Anyone with information, who has not yet spoken to us, is asked to contact us quoting 2300122900.”
