Police issue CCTV images after beaten victim suffers facial injuries in robbery

A victim has been left with facial injuries after being beaten in a robbery during broad daylight. Greater Manchester Police is appealing for help following the incident, which took place in Oldham.

The robbery took place on the busy Hollins Road. Officers say the victim 'sustained a beating' before their jacket and personal belongings were taken.

GMP has now released images of two youngsters they wish to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place at 3.20pm on May 4. Both are believed to be from the local area, with one wearing school uniform in the image released.

In a post on Facebook this morning (August 5), a spokesperson for GMP Oldham Central said: "Police are asking for your help in identifying the perpetrators of a personal robbery on Hollins Road, Oldham on May 4 2022 at 3.20pm. The victim sustained a beating and was left with facial injuries in the robbery - conducted in broad daylight and on a busy road - in which the offenders stole personal belongings and the victim’s jacket.

"CCTV captured the offence and GMP have identified these two youngsters, who are believed to be locals, as persons of interest and are keen to talk to them. One had a black jacket with a distinctive design on the arm, whilst the other appeared to be in a school uniform."

Anyone who recognises the two boys pictured is asked to contact the NCT office at Oldham Police Station on 0161 856 4521 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
