Police issue CCTV appeal over Broad Weir bus stop attack

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to identify following an assault at a bus stop in Bristol, which left the victim with cuts and bruises. Avon and Somerset Police said the incident happened at around 1.55pm on March 25 in Broad Weir.

The force said a woman in her 20s was involved in a confrontation with a man, before then assaulting a second woman who sought to intervene. In an appeal, it said the offender had walked off in the direction of Old Market before officers reached the scene.

The victim sustained injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.
