Police issue appeal to track down Edinburgh man not seen for two days

Police are appealing for information as they seek to track down a man reported missing in Edinburgh over the weekend.

Scott MacKenzie was last seen near Calder Road in the Wester Hailes and Sighthill areas of the capital at around 6pm on Saturday August 20.

The 51-year-old has not been seen since and police are urging anyone who may have seen him to get in touch as soon as possible.

Scott is described as a white male, around 5ft 9ins tall and of medium build with shaved dark brown receding hair.

When last seen he was reported to be wearing dark joggers, black trainers and a black vest.

A CCTV image depicting the missing man in the clothes he was last seen in has been released by cops as part of their appeal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Scott MacKenzie was last seen near Calder Road, Edinburgh in the Wester Hailes / Sighthill areas at 6pm on Saturday 20th August 2022.

"Anyone who may have seen Scott, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0043 of 18th August 2022."
