Police have issued an appeal after a woman reported that she was assaulted in a hotel in Newport last weekend. Gwent Police is investigating a report of an assault that happened in Corporation Road, Newport on Sunday October 9.
The force said an 18-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted in a hotel in the early hours on Sunday by an unknown man and is being supported by specialist officers. Officers have issued a photo of a man who they believe may be able to help their enquiries.

A statement from Gwent Police said: "We're investigating a report of an assault that happened in Corporation Road, Newport on Sunday October 9. A woman reported that she was assaulted in a hotel in the early hours on Sunday October 9.
"The 18-year-old woman was assaulted by an unknown man and is being supported by specialist officers. Officers would now like to speak to this man, who they believe may be able to help their enquiries.
