An arson investigation has begun after the bowling green building at Llewelyn Park in Morriston was set alight. Pictures taken of the aftermath show how the pavilion has been badly damaged by the blaze, with charring on its exterior walls. One of the benches has also been visibly damaged.
Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have been in the park at the time and noticed any suspicious activity, encouraging anyone with information to come forward to help their investigations. Those living in the area have condemned those responsible. One woman wrote: "This is so sad. What is wrong with some people? They can't leave anything alone."
Police sergeant Miles Vaughan said: "South Wales Police received a report around 6.45pm on Tuesday, January 24, of arson of a building in Parc Llewelyn, Morriston.
