Police are investigating after a man was seriously assaulted in broad daylight in Renfrew.
Cops were called to Paisley Road shortly before 2pm on Thursday afternoon.
There they found an injured man who was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

Bystanders reported seeing several uniformed officers stationed outside a tenement block on the busy road.
Police tape stretched from the front door of the common close to nearby shops to protect the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries after a man was seriously assaulted in Paisley Road, Renfrew, about 1.45pm on Thursday, May 19.
“The man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
