Police are calling on the public for information about the suspicious death of an elderly Queensland man overnight.
Emergency services were called to The Esplanade at Torquay, north of Brisbane, on Friday night following reports there had been an assault.
Crews found an unresponsive 75-year-old man with serious injuries.
They attempted to revive the man but he was declared dead at the scene.
Police established a crime scene and are investigating the man's death.
Officers asked people who may have seen anything suspicious in the Torquay area overnight or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to report it to Crime Stoppers.
