Missing Scots pensioner found after police 'increasingly concerned' for wellbeing

Police have thanked the public for their help tracing a pensioner reported missing from a town in the Highlands.

George Percy, 74, was last seen in the Lochdhu Gate area of Nairn around 12.45pm today, Thursday, June 15, with a walking aide.

He is described as white, around 5ft 10, of thin build, with white hair and beard. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black jacket, jogging bottoms and shoes, and was using his black and grey walking aide/stroller.

Police said they were becoming increasingly concerned for George’s wellbeing.

However in a statement posted late on Thursday night, the force said: "Police Scotland can confirm that George Percy has been traced safe and well.

"The public is thanked for their assistance in this matter."
