Police 'increasingly concerned' for man, 22, missing for eight days

Officers have issued an urgent appeal for help finding a 22-year-old man who was last seen more than a week ago. Ion Ionasco was spotted in Manchester city centre last Monday, December 12.

Greater Manchester Police says Ion, who is from Salford, also has links to Swinton. At the time he was last seen, Ion was reportedly seen wearing a black jacket, with black trousers and black trainers. He also had a black scarf on his neck and was wearing a black Eastpak backpack.

He is described as white, 6ft tall and of medium build. Ion has brown curly hair and a stubble beard, and is known to wear round glasses.

Anyone with information about Ion's whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 7619 or 101. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
