Police 'increasingly concerned' about welfare of man with two 'distinctive' tattoos reported missing

Police are appealing for information after a man with two distinctive tattoos has been reported missing in Wigan.

Shane was last seen in the Leigh area at around 5am on Saturday morning (August 13). Police said he has two distinctive tattoos featuring a bulldog/cross on his right arm and a swallow on his right wrist.

At the time of his disappearance, Shane is thought to have been wearing a blue/black T-shirt, black jacket, black shorts and a blue baseball cap. He was also wearing black trainers with a white trim at the bottom.

Shane is described as being a white male, of 5’7” height, and of a slim build. He is bald with a grey beard and blue eyes.

Police said they are becoming ‘increasingly concerned’ about Shane’s whereabouts and anyone with information is advised to get in touch with Greater Manchester Police.

A GMP spokesperson said: “Can you help police find a man from #Leigh called Shane? He has two distinctive tattoos featuring a bulldog/cross on his right arm and a swallow on his right wrist.

“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about him and want to make sure he is safe and well.
