Police Scotland have issued a plea to local community members in West Lothian following a rise in antisocial behaviour in the area.
The request relates to the use of quad bikes and off road motorbikes in the Whitburn area and police have asked for local residents to come forward and notify the police if they know who the regular perpetrators are.
Officers say that they have received a number of complaints that are linked to the illegal and dangerous use of quad bikes and off road motorbikes in the West Lothian town.
They hope that those with knowledge of the irresponsible drivers will come forward - even anonymously - to report the culprits for their antisocial behaviour to Crimstoppers.
In a post titled ‘Anti-social use of Quad bikes / Motorbikes, Whitburn’ officers from the West Lothian Police Facebook page said: “Police Scotland have received several complaints regarding the illegal, dangerous, anti-social use of quad bikes and off road motorbikes in the Whitburn area.
“The local community will know who these irresponsible drivers are and we are asking the public to notify the police anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers (Scotland) on 0800 555 111 or call 101.”
