There is a new Easter scam that police in Wales are warning the public about. Gwent Police's cybercrime team has issued a warning that scammers are posing as a Cadbury promotion to try and hoodwink the public.
On Twitter, they posted a picture of what appears to be a very realistic scam. The post said: "If you receive a message containing a link claiming to be from Cadbury UK don't click it!
"This link asks you to share the text with 20 friends in order to win an Easter basket. Report this by forwarding it to 7726."

What does the scam look like?
The message from the scammers reads: "Your gift is a Cadbury exclusive Easter chocolate basket. Follow the instructions below to claim your price: 1. Share with five groups/ 20 friends on Whatsapp."
This is not the only scam doing the rounds at the moment. Action fraud has warned about fake emails targeting Twitter accounts. Action Fraud's warning reads: "Watch out for FAKE emails targeting Instagram accounts - The emails claim that someone is trying to 'recover your password from Russia'. Don't click on the links in the email. Report suspicious emails by forwarding to: report@phishing.gov.uk."
