Police in Lanarkshire launch appeal to find missing man

Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for help in tracing a missing Coatbridge man.

James McCaughan was last seen in the Hospital Street area of the town around 9.15pm on Friday.

The 20-year-old is described as 5ft 9in, with brown hair and brown eyes.

When last seen he was wearing a beige coloured Adidas tracksuit and black Nike trainers.

Sergeant Adam Cameron told Lanarkshire Live: “We are appealing to anyone with any information on James’s whereabouts or to anyone who has seen someone matching his description to get in touch.”

James has connections to the Coatbridge and Hamilton areas.

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
