Police hunting Dundee gang after terrifying car chase ends on Kingsway

Police in Dundee are hunting a gang of car thieves following a dramatic high speed pursuit. Three occupants of the vehicle fled the scene following last night’s terrifying incident.

Officers had been following the black vehicle for a short time before it crashed on Kingsway East, close to the Arnold Clark garage and Longtown Terrace.

Speaking to Dundee Live today, a Police Scotland spokesman confirmed the incident happened at about 6.10pm.

They told us: “Police responded around 6.10pm on Monday after a vehicle failed to stop on the A92, Arbroath to Dundee Road near Travebank.

“A short pursuit took place and the vehicle came to a stop near to Longtown Terrace where the occupants of the car ran off.

“Inquiries are currently ongoing to trace those involved.”
