Police hunting driver of Ford Focus who fled after crashing into barrier on M60

A driver who fled after crashing on the M60 is being hunted by police.

Officers said a Ford Focus smashed into a barrier on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the motorway, at junction five.

The driver fled the scene following the incident earlier today, police said.

They are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.

Officers on the GMP Traffic Twitter account said: "Single vehicle RTC M60 ACW at Junc 5.

"The driver of this Focus didn’t stick around after colliding into the barrier.

"Thankfully we have clear dash cam of his driving and clear video footage of him. Vehicle recovered for forensics.

"Witness? Email 15246@gmp.police.uk."
