Police hunt vandals who trashed two cars at West Lothian train station

Police are hunting vandals who trashed two cars parked at a West Lothian train station at the weekend.

The incident took place on Sunday at Livingston South Railway Station and saw two Vauxhall Corsa cars targeted, with front bonnets torn off, windows smashed and the boot doors removed.

The owner of one of the cars targeted said on Facebook: “Just a heads up if you’re planning on leaving your car and in particular a Corsa at Livingston south train station. Mine and another Corsa was targeted last night and the front ends completely removed!

“It’s clearly an organised thing if it’s happening all over. The police are looking into the CCTV so hopefully they’ll get something soon.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.55am on Sunday, 25 September, police were called to a report of two cars damaged on Murieston West Road, Livingston. Enquiries are ongoing into this incident.”
