Police are hunting a man after a series of burglaries across London carried out in broad daylight.

Daniel Walton, 39, is suspected of break-ins dating back to June 26, in areas including Enfield, Haringey, South Woodford, Hackney and Wandsworth in London, and one offence in Essex.

Police believe he targets homes across that have been left empty, either temporarily or while residents are away.

Releasing an image of him on Thursday morning, the Met warned members of the public not to approach him.

PC Orlando Livio, from the North Area Basic Command Unit which covers Enfield and Haringey, assured “significant work” is being done to trace Walton.

“Burglary is a horrible offence which can leave victims feeling vulnerable and unsafe in their own home,” he said.

“If you recognise Walton or know where he is then please get in touch.”

He added: “There are some simple steps you can take to help prevent coming a victim of burglary including ensuring your doors and windows are locked when you leave the house, or making sure valuable items are not easily visible from outside.”
