Lothian police have issued an appeal to the public for their help in finding a missing Tranent man as officers become increasingly concerned for his welfare.
26-year-old Gary McGregor was last seen on Monday, August 1, at around 10:30 am in the Elphinstone area of East Lothian. Gary is also known to have links to the East side of Edinburgh and Easthouses in Dalkeith.
Cops describe Gary as being around 5ft 7 inches tall and of a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.

The cops are urging anyone with information on Gary’s whereabouts, or who may have seen him since Monday to contact the Police on 101 and quote reference 3147 of 2 August, 2022.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police in Musselburgh are appealing for help to trace Gary McGregor, 26, who is missing from Tranent.
“Gary was last seen around 10.30am on Monday, 1 August, 2022 in the Elphinstone area and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
“He is described as around 5ft 7 inches tall, of medium build and was wearing a black t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and black trainers when he was last seen.
“Gary has links to the east side of Edinburgh and Easthouses in Dalkeith.
“Anyone with information on Gary’s whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen him since Monday is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3147 of 2 August, 2022.”
