Police hunt attacker who stabbed man in the chest on Valentine’s Day

Detectives are hunting a man after a 36-year-old was stabbed in the chest in the early hours of Valentine’s Day.

Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward after a man was found with a single stab wound in Green Street, Newham at 5.13am on February 14.

He was rushed to hospital with the non life-threatening injury.

There have been no arrests.

Detectives believe the stabbing occurred in Queens Market nearby around 5.10am.

DC Jamie Thorn, the investigating officer, said: “If anyone recognises the man in this image then please call us immediately.

“We know there were some other people in and around the Queens Market area, but none were present on police arrival, nor have they come forward. I would ask them, or anyone with information about this incident, to get in contact.”
