Police have arrested two people after the force were lead on a high speed chase.
Officers were alerted to a suspected stolen motorcycle sighting in Liverpool city centre at around 8.30om on Tuesday, January 3. Two people were on board the motorcycle that was driving dangerously at excess speed.
Police spotted the motorcycle driving on the wrong side of the road on both sides of the Queensway tunnel, leading to support from National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter being sent out. The force said after a short chase, the motorcycle was tactically stopped.

It came to a stop at the junction of Cavendish Drive and Rice Lane and two men were arrested. It has been reported that during the incident, damage was caused to a police vehicle and a Vauxhall Corsa, but no injuries were reported.
An 18-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving. And a 17-year-old boy, from Belle Vale, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking; dangerous driving; possession of cannabis; and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both remain in custody for questioning. Matrix Roads Policing Sergeant Tim Pottle said: "The two males will now be questioned.
"Thanks to the expertise of our pursuit team and the NPAS helicopter, this driving was brought to an end with no harm caused to other road users. If you witness such driving on the streets, call 999 and we will respond to make those in our communities safer."
