A police helicopter was called to search the area after reports of an assault at a block of flats.
Officers from Merseyside Police were called to Mill Lane in Wavertree shortly after 11pm on Saturday April 9 to reports of an assault. Police were unable to identify a victim upon their arrival at 11.05pm and a spokesperson today confirmed to the ECHO no arrests had been made.
But the spokesperson did confirm a police helicopter was called to search the surrounding area following the reports of the assault. Images seen by the ECHO show a significant police presence on neighbouring Long Lane with at least four police vehicles in attendance.

A police cordon appeared to have been in place at the front entrance to the Sandy Knowe flats on Mill Lane. Blue police tape could be seen at the front gate that leads to the entrance.
There were reports of a North West Ambulance Service vehicle in attendance but this was unconfirmed by a Merseyside Police spokesperson this morning. Officers appeared to still be on Long Lane around 1am this morning.
