Police helicopter and dogs called in after 'stolen' vehicle crashes in Sefton

Thee males have been arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft after a car crashed in the Sefton area of Liverpool.

Merseyside Police called in the NPAS helicopter and police dogs to help investigate the incident. Police Dog Yula very quickly recovered items belonging to the suspects.

The Police helicopter identified the suspects who were linked to the recovered items and stolen crashed vehicle which had been abandoned.

The suspects were arrested and remanded in custody pending further enquiries.

Merseyside Police tweeted: "PD Yula attended to a stolen vehicle that had crashed in Sefton. She tracked from the vehicle and recovered numerous items of property belonging to the offenders. The Police helicopter following, saw 3 males further ahead. All 3 stopped and linked to the vehicle, and arrested."

Meanwhile in a busy night for Mersey Police dogs PD Dudley was also deployed to help investigating police officers locate cash and drugs following a searched property in Garston.

Thanks to PD Dudley's expertise and keen nose three male suspects have been arrested in connection with drugs offences.
