Police, fire crews and air ambulance called to concern for safety near Trent Bridge

Police, fire engines and an air ambulance were called to Trent Bridge over concerns for a man's safety. Emergency services attended the section of the River Trent in West Bridgford at around 4.30pm on Monday, July 10.

Nottinghamshire Police said a man had been recovered from the water and was being cared for. A spokesperson said: "Police were called to Trent Bridge, West Bridgford at around 16.30 today following concern's for a man's safety.

"All three emergency services worked together and are continuing to care for the man who was recovered from the water. We would like to thank members of the public who alerted us to the incident and also those who assisted before the emergency services arrived."

Emergency service vehicles were seen by the river near Nottingham Forest's City Ground, with an air ambulance also landing near Notts County's Meadow Lane stadium.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had received a call at around 4.30pm. "Two crews attended, one from London Road and one from Highfields," she said.
